The CLIENT has an investment in 1.000 m3/day WTP in the facility. Treated water is planned to be used in dust suppression and/or as process water. Treated water is collected from two WRDs which are lower than the level of planned WTP and two ponds which is the storage of residual materials from the crusher unit. These two ponds in the storage of residuals are called as LG and MGHG. LG and MGHG’s levels are higher than the planned WTP. A storage pond with a capacity of 5,000 tons and a filling station is planned to store and load treated water for dust supression. Excess treated water is discharged to Manbol River via a pipeline which is an item of this project as well.

The project consists of design of petroleum plant which processes and stocks the crude oil attained at the Cakilli Site with a capacity of 5000 bbl oil and 10000 bbl water.
The plant consists of design of stock tanks, overflow tanks, emulsion breaker, free water separation systems, manifold system, pump system, closed wastewater injection system, fire protection system, automation system with underground pipeline for production wells and 3 pieces of site manifold systems according to current local and international codes.

When the oily water flow rate is above the current capacities of wastewater treatment plants (ASA1 / ASA2) during periods of heavy rainfall, oily water overflows from the pools to the sea. In order to prevent this, it includes the construction of stock tanks in accordance with API650 with a capacity of 2x17.000 m³ and the piping works required to transfer wastewater, scraped wet and sludge between the tanks to be newly built in ASA1 / ASA2 fields.

The main distribution point of the fuel gas system consumed as a fuel source in the furnaces and boilers of the TÜPRAŞ İzmit Refinery RUP field is located in the Plt 109 unit. Off-gas produced in the Plt 177 Coker and Plt 147 Hydrocracker units and natural gas taken from the grid are combined in the Plt 109 unit and distributed to the units as fuel gas. In order to replace the natural gas used in the system, it is aimed to vaporize the LPG produced in the Plt 177 and Plt 147 units and feed it into the fuel gas system. For this purpose, the vaporizer system to be established will be installed in the Plt 147 unit and will use the LPG production of the Plt 147/177 units as a source.

The auxiliary services of the TÜPRAŞ İzmit Refinery RUP region are produced in the Plt-109 power plant unit. The plant has 2 gas turbines, 2 waste heat boilers, and 1 intermediate draft steam turbine. The Plt-109 unit produces steam at pressure levels of VHP (100 barg), HP (40 barg), MP (11 barg), and LP (5 barg). The produced VHP steam is fed to the 109K-250 steam turbine, and the HP and LP steam consumed in the refinery are extracted from intermediate stages to generate electricity. MP steam is produced by breaking down HP steam using a pressure control valve. The project aims to produce 80 t/h of MP steam by a newly installed steam turbine instead of breaking down HP steam, thereby generating electricity.

The 9E-601 tower, located in Unit Plt-9, has 5 compartments. Physically, the tower is divided into two separate sections on site: 9E-601/A,B and 9E-601/C,D,E, and these two sections are connected by pipeline from the tower pools. Since each compartment has a capacity of 1760 m3, the total capacity of the tower is 8800 m3. The pool capacity of the 9E-601 tower is 4700 m3. The tower has 3 water circulation pumps, 9GM-601A/B and 9GT-601C. The capacity of the electric motor pumps is 6160 m3/hour, and the capacity of the turbine pump is 8800 m3/hour. While turbine-type pumps can meet 100% of the cooling tower's capacity, each of the electric motor-driven pumps meets 70% of the tower's capacity. The project requests the replacement of the 9GM-601A pump with an electric-driven centrifugal pump that meets the required specifications.

Propylene produced in the FCC Unit will pass through a trim cooler and its temperature will be reduced, it will pass through the prefilter/coalescer. The product from the coalescer will go to the molsieve unit and will be sent to the propylene tanks in the tank area. Propylene tanks can be used in both LPG and propylene service. After the propylene tanks, the product sales lines will continue under the sea until the LPG pier. The product will be sold with the filling arm, which will be newly installed on the LPG pier. Bitumen export is planned from Izmit refinery Phase-3 jetty. One bitumen tank, bitumen sales lines and 2 sales pumps will be installed at Izmit Refinery. The new tank 177D-501 has a net working volume of 25,000 m3. For the sale of bitumen, a new 24" export line is installed and extended to the existing jetty loading arms, also existing 24” jetty line will be used for both selling and loading of tank. New 24” line to the jetty is connected to the existing loading arms.
